You have the option to save a draft auction instead of posting the auction live (open for bidding). When you reach Step 3 of the posting form, there are two options: "Save as Draft" or "Post this Auction Now":
"Save as Draft" saves all data entered so far and creates a Draft Auction that that can be edited and posted at a later time. This draft auction can also be deleted.
"Post this Auction Now" immediately posts the auction live on the website regardless of the start date/time. Once an auction is posted it can be seen by anyone accessing the site.
How do I find my Draft Auctions? In My Account, click ‘Online Auctions’ drop-down and select "Draft Auctions”. You can view any auctions that were saved as draft.
How do I post Draft Auctions live? From Online Auctions drop-down select “Draft Auctions”. Then click Edit/Post next to the Draft Auction you wish to post, Complete the posting form. When you get to Step 3, select "Post this Auction Now".
Why use the “Save as Draft” option? Here are a couple reasons that you might want to save your auctions as draft:
- If you do not have all of the details of the auction yet
- If your DM or upper management wants to review the auction before it goes live
- If you want to get a head start setting up your auctions but are not ready for them to go live yet
Note: Draft auctions will not be open for bidding. You will need to Post this Auction Now for the auction to receive bids.
Why aren’t my Draft Auctions searchable on the site?
Draft auctions are only saved to your account. You will need to post the Draft Auction so it can be live and open for bidding.
To post draft auctions live, click Edit/Post, complete the posting form and when you get to Step 3, select "Post this Auction Now".
