If a winning Buyer has not submitted payment for StorageTreasures’ fees within 24 Hours of the auction close time, the unit can be offered to alternate bidders.
How Does This Policy Work?
After you win an auction, your credit card on file is automatically charged applicable auction fees by StorageTreasures. You MUST have sufficient funds on your card to cover these fees. Your bidding privileges will be suspended until the fees have been paid.
However, if 24 hours has expired since the auction closed and your credit card is still declined, the storage facility/seller can request that the unit be offered to alternate (backup) bidders. If a backup bidder is secured, your account would remain suspended indefinitely, for not only the failure to pay the fees but also for a ‘No Show’.
Please ensure that you have a valid credit card on file with sufficient funds before placing bids.
How Will I Know If My Credit Card Declined?
If your Credit Card declines:
1. We will send you an email notification stating: Action required! Your credit card was declined.
See example below.
2. Customer Support will call you and email instructions on how to take care of your declined Invoice.
3. You can view the Unpaid Invoice (NOT READY FOR PICKUP) in your account, on your Dashboard, under the “Invoices” tab
How Do I Pay My Declined Invoice?
Login to your account and click the “Pay Now” button, next to the declined invoice, found in the “Invoices” tab. If the payment still declines or there is an issue with your credit card information, please update your credit card on file or provide a different card.
To Learn how to update your credit card on file, see How to Add or Update a Credit Card.
