Does your state statute allow you to post your Public Notice Ad online? Currently, 25 US states allow self storage operators to advertise lien sales using methods other than a Newspaper of General Circulation. StorageTreasures has a new feature that will help you streamline your advertising processes if your facility is in one of those states.
You will now have an option to post a Public Notice Ad as part of your auction posting. After you enter the unit information, but before you upload images, you will see an option to select “Yes” or “No” to a Public Notice Ad.
If you select “Yes” for the Public Notice Ad, the next section of the auction posting, Delinquent Tenant Information, will become mandatory. These fields and other parts of the auction posting will be used to compile the legally required elements of the Public Notice. StorageTreasures will populate the Public Notice Ad with the statutory requirements for each state.
After you enter all the required information, StorageTreasures will create an advertisement for our website's Public Notices page. Public Notices will be available for viewing while the auction is active on StorageTreasures.
The Public Notice Ad will resemble a standard newspaper public notice.
Once an auction has been posted, you can download its corresponding Public Notice Ad. Follow these steps:
- Log in and go to My Account
- Select Online Auctions > Active Auctions
- Locate the specific auction and open the Actions dropdown
- Click Download Public Notice
