What Items to Sell (and Not to Sell) in a Private Seller Auction

All items in the unit MUST be sold in their entirety. A storage unit cannot be sectioned off and items sold in separate, multiple auctions. It is our recommendation to include detailed descriptions of the quality of items in the unit description. Detailed and accurate descriptions of the unit creates transparency and good rapport with auction buyers interested in your auctions. If multiple or severe complaints are received by Customer Support your private seller profile may be suspended from StorageTreasures.

ITEMS TO SELL
 

VEHICLES, RVs, ATVs, MOTORCYCLES OR WATERCRAFT

Vehicles and other related titled vehicles or watercraft MUST be located at an allowed storage facility. The requirements below MUST be stated in the description field (Unit Appears to Contain):

REQUIRED

1. Clear title and keys
2. VIN/HIN number, year, make and model 
3. Any visible or known damage
4. In working or running order, or any limitations disclosed

Recommended

1. Mileage or hours
2. Carfax report 

LIQUIDATION, STORE RETURNS OR BULK SALES

Liquidation, store returns or bulk sales may be sold in a Private Seller auction. Liquidation or store returns MUST be declared on the auction posting.

ITEMS NOT TO SELL - PROHIBITED

The following categories of items are strictly prohibited from being listed or sold in auctions on StorageTreasures. The known sale or attempted sale of any prohibited items may result in permanent suspension of your account and may be reported to law enforcement. StorageTreasures will not be party to the sale of counterfeit, illegal, or unsafe products.

High-Risk Items (Collectibles & Valuables)

These items are often difficult to verify for authenticity or condition and are therefore not permitted, even if genuine:

• All high-value branded items (e.g., Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Versace, Rolex, Chanel, Balenciaga, etc.)
  These items are prohibited whether counterfeit or authentic. StorageTreasures cannot authenticate branded luxury goods, and their sale is not allowed under any circumstance.
• Trading cards (e.g., Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, all sports cards)
• Autographed items (e.g., jerseys, books, posters)
• Coins or currency (collectible, commemorative, or bullion)
• Stamps (rare or vintage, limited addition)
• Toys and figurines (Hotwheels, Funko pops, LEGO Sets, toys listed as limited edition or vintage/rare)
• Comic books (marketed as limited edition, vintage, rare or first edition)
• Memorabilia (e.g., movie props, concert items, marketed as vintage, rare or limited addition)
• Any items marketed as collectible, vintage, antique, rare, special edition, first edition or limited addition or any verbiage that implies value. Please refrain from marketing items as such

Illegal or Controlled Substances

• Illegal items of any kind
• Over-the-counter, illegal, or prescription drugs
• Drug paraphernalia
• Medical devices that require a prescription
• adult contents/pornography

Health and Safety Hazards

• Food or perishable items
• Expired products (any category)
• Hazardous materials or chemical substances
• Containers with unknown or dangerous contents
• Alcohol
• Tobacco or nicotine products (including vapes and e-cigarettes)
• Fireworks or explosives
• Firearms, ammunition, bump stocks, or firearm accessories
• Air soft guns
• knives, swords
• cross bows, arrows

Fraudulent or Questionable Goods

• Counterfeit branded items (e.g., clothing, accessories, electronics)
• Stolen items
• Documents containing personal information of previous tenants or others
• Fake IDs or government documents

Broken or Undesirable Items

• Trash
• Defective store returns or non-functional electronics
• Electronics must be in proper working condition, and the listing description should clearly state that they are functional.
• Empty boxes, totes, containers, or bags (unless specifically disclosed)

Gambling and Currency

• Lottery tickets, sweepstakes entries, or gambling devices
• Currency, checks, gift cards, or prepaid debit cards

Animals and Human Remains

• Live animals or insects
• Taxidermy or animal remains
• Human remains, ashes, or hair

Digital Goods and Intellectual Property

• Bootlegged or pirated DVDs, CDs, software, or games
• Digital codes, subscriptions, or streaming service access

The known sale or attempted sale of any prohibited items will result in a permanent ban from StorageTreasures. Any such activity may also be escalated to law enforcement. StorageTreasures will not be party to the sale of counterfeit, illegal, or unsafe products.

EXCLUSIONS

We will allow these excluded items only:

1. Tables, shelving or stands (used to showcase items).
2. Any other exclusions must be approved by Customer Support.
3. Exclusions MUST be stated (in caps) in the 'Unit Appears to Contain' field
